I also would agree that HF Tiger is a short gestation, heifer bull! I was also wondering if there are any reports on the OSU Concept calves and their birthweights? Also i was wondering how the interest was on "Opportunity," I raised and sold his mother and have a few maternal sibs to his dam so i was just curious. Thank You, Cody Bishop

If you're in Iowa soon, please stop in at Nichols to look at Darkhorse.  He looks awesome I've been told by several.  He's not going to be there much longer.  Headed to J6 in NE to breed cows soon.

Willie Morris has 7 Fat Butt calves. 6 have white on their face. Brian Laaker has some and says they look good.  He didn't get many baldies yet.  Birthweights seem to range from 65-100.  It's been cold hasn't it???

Hey Lance, What kind of birthweights are we talking about on the Fat Butt calves?

Make sure you check out our new bulls. I'm excited about Vin Mar O'Reilly Factor, a great Final Answer son.

We'll be getting the most exciting Simmental bulls in the breed too. Felt's Hardcore bull that was Champion at NWSS & also Next Big Thing, the sire of the Res. Champion Female.

Also, Remington Lock N Load semen is in for $40/unit now.  He's a breeding tool for sure.  Massive muscle shape here!

Smilin Bob
uncategorized
Tuesday 1st of February 2011 11:50:13 AM

We are getting the first Smilin bob calving reports.  Nothing terrible high on birthweights yet.  Kind of surprising considering the cold winter.  I've heard of 100#+ Angus calving ease BW's from customers.

Tracy Claude, an owner of Headliner, said his first Smilin Bob heifer is 90-95# out of a stout Char cow.  Tracy said Bob did a good job on the cow for fancying the calf up.

Scott Garten said he's heard of a lot of them around 90#.

Hope the winter storms don't hit you too hard. I'm going to plow our drive after lunch!!
