Heat Wave is a solid black, polled Red Top son out of the
dam of Avalanche, GL Miss 600U 709D. Heat Wave offers a new,
rare combination of genetics that will take us to a new
level of attractiveness combined with the traits of
productivity and cow power. Heat Wave sired the top selling
open heifer in the 2003 National Western Simmental going for
$26,000 to Lone Tree Simmental. This heifer went on to be
named Reserve Heifer Calf Champion in the open show at
Denver in 2003. Heat Wave was used on about 70 cows at
Drake’s, with National Champion “Drake Right About Now” and
her dam “Drake Scream” both flushed to this exciting new
sire. |
