Olympian has proven to be much more than a replacement for
his now deceased sire, Gambler. He is following in his great
sire’s footsteps as a large birth to yearling spread and
high carcass scan sire, but he is doing it in a more
moderate frame with consistently less birth weight. Compared
in large contemporary groups at Gibbs Farms against his
sire, Olympian progeny were smaller framed, wider based
cattle. Olympian comes from the same cow family as the
multi-year breed leading sire, PVF-BF BF26 Black Joker, and
his dam also produced the ABS Global sire, BF K030 Red
Snapper. As the lead off bull in the 2004 Optimal Beef
Genetics Bull Sale, Olympian was proclaimed to be the most
complete bull ever produced at Optimal Beef Genetics with
his breed leading pedigree, high performance, and shattering
individual ultrasound scan of a 129 ratio on %IMF and a 111
ratio on REA. Olympian is earning the genetic reputation he
was proclaimed to have. |
